saecoさんの裂き織りの作品が入荷しました

 丁寧に作られていることが伝わってくる、saecoさんの作品達。裂き織りの作品の数々が入荷いたしました。

『草木で染め、裂き、撚りをかけ、織っています。
太陽や水や風により草木の秘めた力が色としてあらわれ、 見たり触れたりできるようになることに心を躍らせ、 廃れてしまいそうなもの、捨てられてしまいそうなものにも目を向け、糸と糸の重なりで織りなす模様たちのなかに ちいさな感情のひだまで描きだそうとしたりして、手を動かしています。
そうして織り上げた古くて新しい布が誰かの暮らしの一部となり、整う日も整わない日もある日々の営みのなかにとけ込んでいくことができたら、こんなに嬉しいことはありません。』

I tear thinly the cloth dyed by “Kusaki” and twist them, and then weave them.
We call that “Sakiori” in Japanese.
“Sakiori” is Japanese traditional handwaving style and very nice recycle system.
I become happy when I can see and touch the power of “Kusaki”,
and know that the sun,water and wind show the power of “Kusaki”.
While I’m making “Sakiori”, I imagine the universe and
I try to draw various feeling in range of thread and thread on the weaving design.
I wish that these old and new cloth melts in someone’s daily life. ・
